As the years progressed S.A. Crime Patrols expanded its business and in 2005 its sister Company Pro-Arm Firearm Training Academy was established and is responsible for firearm training in accordance with the Firearms Control Act 60 of 2000. Mr. K. Pillay is the Chief Facilitator/ Assessor/ Moderator/ Range Officer and the Responsible Person in charge of the firearms. Pro-Arm Firearm Training Academy has its own 10 metre indoor shooting range known as Pro-Arm Shooting Range which is fully accredited by the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) and is in compliance with the Compulsory Certification for Small Arms Shooting Range, published by the Government Notice R 7970 (Government Gazette No.: 26375) of 28 May 2004. Pro-Arm Shooting Range is used by the general public, members of the SAPS, SA Defence Force, Department of Transport and in-house Security Personnel.
